Driver Killed In Hit-And-Run While Stopped On NYC Expressway
The 41-year-old man was apparently experiencing car issues and got out of his vehicle when he was hit by another vehicle.
QUEENS, NY— A 41-year-old man was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver as he stood next to his pulled over vehicle on a New York City expressway Tuesday morning.
The victim was driving on the Van Wyck Expressway near Exit 11 in Queens around 11:35 a.m. when he pulled over, according to a 1010WINS report.
The 41-year-old man was apparently experiencing car issues and got out of his vehicle when he was hit by another vehicle.

The man was transported to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
The hit-and-run driver fled the scene and is still at large as of Tuesday evening.

The victim's identity has not been released pending family notification.
