Man Indicted After Fatally Stabbing Three Relatives In Queens: DA
Jabari Burrell, 22, was indicted after stabbing his two aunts and grandmother to death on Nov. 18, prosecutors said.
QUEENS — A man from Brooklyn was indicted on murder charges after fatally stabbing three relatives, including his grandmother, in Springfield Gardens last month, the Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said Monday.
Jabari Burrell, 22, was indicted after stabbing his two aunts and grandmother to death on Nov. 18 between 182nd Street and 146th Drive, prosecutors said.
Burrell faces up to life in prison without parole if convicted, Katz said.

A health aide discovered Latoya Gordon, 47, and Hyacinth Johnson, 65, lying dead on the floor about 9 a.m., while Patrice Johnson, 25, was found in her medical bed with multiple stab wounds, the district attorney said.
Burrell allegedly fled in his grandmother’s minivan before Virginia police arrested him the next day about 2 p.m., prosecutors said

City investigators found blood-stained knives in the bathroom, the kitchen sink, and in a kitchen drawer, as well as Ms. Gordon’s bedroom and the living room, Katz said.
Burrell is scheduled to come back to court on Jan. 18, 2023, the district attorney said.
