QUEENS — A man who fatally stabbed a guest at a baby christening party in Queens three years ago was sentenced to more than 20 years in prison, the Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said Wednesday.
Antonio Martinez, 50, was sentenced to 23 years to life on murder charges after he stabbed and killed Roque Alvarez-Montes, 22, at a 2019 baby christening party in Corona, prosecutors said.
Martinez and Roque Alvarez-Montes were arguing between 98th Street and 37th Avenue on Sept. 29, 2019, about 12:30 a.m. before Martinez stabbed the 22-year-old in the chest, Katz said.
