Man Who Robbed Glendale Bank, Attacked 81-Year-Old, Arrested: NYPD

QUEENS — A man from Far Rockaway who placed an 81-year-old woman in a chokehold and took money from a bank in Glendale was arrested on Thursday, police said.

Gerald Derosse, 54, was arrested after grabbing a hold of an 81-year-old woman inside Ridgewood Savings Bank while demanding money from the bank teller earlier this month, the NYPD said.

The bank teller at the bank located at 65-01 Myrtle Ave. handed about $205 to Derosse before he fled, authorities said.

The 81-year-old sustained minor injuries, cops said.

Derosse was charged with robbery, police said.
