QUEENS — The man who shot a rookie cop in Jamaica last month was indicted on two counts of attempted murder and several other charges, prosecutors said.

Devin Spraggins, 22, also faces charges of menacing a police officer, after he shot Officer Brett Boller on April 5 when he was responding to an altercation on a bus, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz.

Spraggins faces up to 40 years to life in prison for each charge of attempted murder if convicted, Katz said.

Early last month, Spraggins punched a passenger on an MTA bus on Jamaica Avenue near 160th Street and then the bus driver flagged down Boller his partner, Officer Anthony Rock, for help, the district attorney said.

The officers chased Spraggins, who later turned around and shot Boller before running into a parking garage, prosecutors said.

He later fled in a Black Nissan Altima — a Lyft for-hire vehicle — that took him to a 215th Street house, Katz said.

Officers say they discovered the social media accounts of people staying at the home and obtained a search warrant, the district attorney said.

Boller underwent surgery at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, prosecutors said.
