Jeffrey Morel was arrested after he shot a school and two cars in a failed attempt to hit another man earlier this month, Katz said.

QUEENS — A man that shot a school and two cars after he missed his intended target in Far Rockaway earlier this month was arrested, prosecutors said.
Jeffrey Morel, 31, faces attempted murder charges after he tried to shoot a man that had entered an apartment at 9-10 Dinsmore Ave. around 7 a.m. on May 1, said Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz.
Morel faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted, and he is scheduled to come back to court on May 15, Katz said.

A man pointed what looked like a gun at Morel inside the apartment, making him leave the building and run into the intersection of Dinsmore Avenue and Beach 9th Street near the Talmud Torah Siach Yitzchok yeshiva, the district attorney said.
The other man left the apartment after Morel, who then fired several shots at him, prosecutors said.
