NYC Mom Jumps Out Of Window To Escape Knife-Wielding Son: NYPD
The 64-year-old woman broke her leg as a result of the fall. The 36-year-old son is still at large as of Monday evening, police said.
QUEENS, NY — Police continue to search for a 36-year-old man who threatened his 64-year-old mother with a knife, forcing her to jump out of a third-floor window to escape.
The incident happened on Friday, just after 9 p.m. at an apartment building on Shore Boulevard near 20th Road in Astoria, police said.
The woman broke her leg as a result of the fall, police said.

When officers finally gained access to the third-floor apartment, the 36-year-old son was nowhere to be found. He is still at large as of Monday evening, police said.
The 64-year-old mother was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition, police said.

Police say the son has over 30 previous arrests.
