Queens Son Fatally Stabs His Mother, Strangles Father, In Flushing: DA

QUEENS — A man who fatally stabbed his mother in Flushing last month faces murder charges, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said Thursday.
Dennis Cho, 20, was arrested after stabbing 59-year-old Hyun Sook Lee to death and strangling his father on the afternoon of Feb. 24 in their home on 191st St., prosecutors said.
Cho is scheduled to return to court on May 3, and faces 25 years to life in prison if convicted, Katz said.

The 20-year-old stabbed his mother several times in the back and then fought and strangled his father, Seong Woo Cho, 61, leaving his father with a laceration to his hand, the district attorney said.
