Robbers Clobber Man With Bat In Queens, Police Say
A pair of robbers beat a 22-year-old man with a bat before stealing his phone as he walked home in Fresh Meadows, NYPD officials said.

QUEENS, NY — A pair of robbers clobbered a man with a bat and stole his phone in Queens, police said.
The bat attack unfolded as a 22-year-old man walked home April 13 in Fresh Meadows, authorities said.
As the man neared 189th Street and Aberdeen Road, two as-yet-unidentified men attacked with a bat about 7:05 p.m., NYPD officials said.

They grabbed the man's phone before getting into a Pontiac Grand Am, which drove off headed north on 109th Street toward Union Turnpike, officials said.
Medics rushed the man to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital in stable condition, police said.

The first man is described as in his 20s, with a red-hooded sweater, gray pants and brown boots.
The second man had a beard and wore a black sweater, black pants, a black hat and black sneakers.
