Woman Slashes Taxi Driver's Neck In Queens: NYPD

A cab driver who asked the as-yet-unidentified woman for her fare was taken to a hospital in stable condition, police said.

QUEENS, NY — A woman slashed a taxi driver's neck in Queens when he asked her to pay the fare, police said.

The slashing took place early Feb. 11 when a cab driver pulled up to 23rd Avenue and 90th Street in East Elmhurst, NYPD officials said.

The cabbie asked the woman inside the cab to pay, but instead she pulled a knife and slashed his neck, authorities said.

She ran east on 23rd Avenue, police said.

Medics took the taxi driver to Elmhurt Hospital in stable condition, authorities said.

Police released a photograph showing a woman Sunday and asked for the public's help identifying her.
