43rd Annual Hallockville Country Fair & Craft Show Set For Weekend

RIVERHEAD, NY — There's plenty of old-fashioned fun in store as the 43rd Annual Hallockville Country Fair & Craft Show unfolds this weekend in Riverhead.

The event will be held Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the farm, located at 6038 Sound Avenue.

Young and old alike enjoyed the offerings at the fair, a longtime tradition that celebrates folk arts and the area's rich agricultural heritage.

The two-day event draws happy crowds to enjoy craft and artisan vendors, live music, food trucks, a quilt display in Naugles Barn, children's activities and games, a petting zoo, pony rides, guided museum tours, farm animals including goats, horses, pigs, cows, and more, a bake sale, a jam/jelly and honey contest, and wagon rides.

According to its website, the mission of the Hallockville Museum Farm is to "take Long Island back to its family farming roots and explore their relevance today."

Saturday & Sunday

10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Pony rides ($10 additional)
10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Petting zoo (food $5 additional)
10 a.m.: Childrens’ Tractor Pull (LIAPA)
11 a.m.: Children’s Tug of War
11:30 a.m.: Horse-Mounted Drill Team Demonstration (Saturday Only)
Noon: Potato Sack Races
10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.: House Tours
1 p.m.: Children’s Tug of War
1 p.m. Parade of Power (LIAPA)
1:30 p.m. Tractor Pull (LIAPA)
2 p.m.: Potato Sack Races
3 p.m.: Children’s Tug of War
3:30 p.m.: Horse Mounted Drill Team Demonstration (Saturday Only)

ALL DAY

Blacksmith demonstrations, children’s activities, historic demonstrations, kiddie train, live music, sawmill demonstrations, traditional craft demonstrations, wagon ride/shuttle.
