'Strong Possibility' Body In Pool Is Man Sought In Dad's Stabbing: PD

The grisly discovery was made Sunday at an East Shoreham home, police say.

SHOREHAM, NY — Police believe the body of a man found in an East Shoreham pool Sunday may be that of Matthew Zoll, who authorities have been searching for in connection with the stabbing of his father in Rocky Point in November.

"Detectives believe there is a strong possibility the body of the man found in the swimming pool in East Shoreham on May 25 is Matthew Zoll," police said. "The male was not wearing shoes, was wearing clothing similar to what Zoll was wearing when he was last seen, and the home is in close proximity to the location where Zoll was involved in a single-vehicle crash the night of the murder.
