Break-In Reported At Riverhead's Star Confectionary: PD
Money was reported stolen, police say.
RIVERHEAD, NY— A break-in was reported at Star Confectionary in Riverhead, police said.
According to Riverhead police, a call came in from the owner of the business on Tuesday at about 7:55 a.m., about an attempted break-in. Upon arrival, patrol officers learned that someone had made entry, but it initially did not appear that anything had been removed, police said.
Upon further inspection by the owner, it was discovered that money had been stolen, police said.

Riverhead detectives determined that the break in occurred sometime between Monday at 11:30 a.m. and Tuesday at 7:30 a.m., police said.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone having any information is asked to contact Riverhead police at 631-727-4500.
