Brush Fire Breaks Out In Shoreham Friday: Officials
The blaze was quickly under control, fire officials say.

SHOREHAM, NY — Firefighters raced to the scene of a brush fire in Shoreham Friday afternoon.
According to the Wading River Fire Department, the fire broke out just after 2 p.m. on Defense Hill Road but was quickly under control.
Residents reported seeing heavy smoke in the distance and fire departments including Wading River, Ridge and Rocky Point responding to the scene.
