Cops: Construction Trailer and Tools Worth 8K Stolen From Job Site

Southampton Town police released the following incident reports for the week of Oct. 28:

Flanders

• Someone broke into a home on Dam Trail and made off with cash and other valuables on Oct. 25. According to police, they received a call from the victim at around 6:40 p.m., claiming that an unknown person broke in while the house was unoccupied and took an iPhone, worth about $450, a jar of quarters valued at around $100, Fila sneakers, worth around $80, and an 18-karat gold necklace, worth about $600.

• Police are investigating a report of a stolen car filed on Oct. 23. The car owner called 911 to report that her 1996 Nissan Pathfinder was taken sometime between midnight and 6 a.m. from the back of the property on Old Quogue Road. She said the car doors were locked.

• Someone stole a construction trailer full of tools from a job site on Nassau Street last week. Police said the black and white 1997 United trailer was taken from the property sometime between 5 p.m. on Oct. 17 and 10 a.m. on Oct. 21. The trailer was estimated to be worth around $3,000 and the assorted tools inside were valued at around $5,000.

Riverside

• Someone broke into a house on Vail Avenue and made off with around $375 in valuables on Oct. 22. According to police, the perpetrators forced their way in through a rear door, damaging the door frame sometime between 11:45 a.m. and 3 p.m.A 32-inch TV and around $75 in cash were reported stolen.

• Someone broke into a house on Pine Street and stole more than $1,000 worth of valuables on Oct. 21. The victim said the burglar had forced their way in, damaging the frame of the front door sometime between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. A PlayStation 3, valued at $300, a Sony laptop, valued at $500, a Milwaukee drill, valued at $200, and a portable battery charger, worth around $200, were taken.
