🌱 Riverhead Daily: Filming in Riverhead + Crash + Gunpoint Robbery

Here are the top stories in Riverhead today:

1. It was lights, camera, action in locations around Riverhead Friday as filming continued for a new Netflix movie starring Julia Roberts. Although Roberts wasn't spotted at the spots where filming was taking place, her co-star Ethan Hawke was reportedly on set. Netflix began filming ""Leave the World Behind," in April on Long Island — with first stops in the Lloyd Neck section of the Village of Lloyd Harbor, in the town of Huntington. (Riverhead Patch)
   
2. Shortly after 8 p.m. on Thursday, police were called to 134 West Main St. by a man who reported being pulled into an alley and robbed at gunpoint. The unknown man attempted to grab the victim’s electric scooter but instead took cash and a debit card. (Patch)
3. Kohl's in Rocky Point has its own Sephora located at 346 Route 25A. The grand opening of the cosmetic and beauty brand inside the department store was yesterday. This year Sephora at Kohl's plans to add 400 new locations, bringing the total stores to 850 nationwide by next year. (Patch)
4. Thursday, at 5:06 p.m., a police report came in about a vehicle partially submerged in the bay at West Landing Beach in Hampton Bays, according to Southampton Town police. A Hampton Bays woman drove off the road and into the Great Peconic Bay. Police said she was charged with driving while intoxicated. (Riverhead Patch)
