1. The Spirit of Christmas Hosted By Spirit's Promise Equine Rescue. Join a series of events at 2746 Sound Ave., Riverhead, on Dec. 2 from 5-9 p.m. with a Holiday Yoga & Community benefit fundraiser. On Dec. 9 from 7-9 p.m., Spirit’s Promise is offering Wreath Making with Farmer Jenn. On Dec. 4 from 4-9 p.m., Spirit’s Promise will host their first of two Fire & Ice Christmas Markets. The second Market will be held on Dec. 18 from 4-9 p.m. Line Dancing will be held on Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. Spirit’s Promise will also be offering Holiday Farm Tours with Mrs. Claus on Dec. 4, 11, and 18. 2. Search On For Missing East Moriches Woman With Dementia. A Silver Alert has been issued for Irene Mazzeo, 62, who was last seen at her residence at 6 Thoroughbred Court on Wednesday at 8 a.m. Mazzeo is white, 5-feet, 4-inches tall and 150 lbs., with blonde hair and green eyes. She was last seen wearing a beige sweater, jeans and black shoes. Anyone with information on Mazzeo's location are asked to contact the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752 or to call 911. (The Patch)
3. Residents Revel In Annual Lighting Of Big Duck In Flanders. A holiday tradition returned to Long Island Wednesday after being canceled in 2020. People came out to Flanders to see the 33rd annual lighting of the iconic Big Duck. The Big Duck celebrates his 90th birthday this year. (News 12 Brooklyn)
