2nd Annual Westchester Parks Foundation Duck Derby Will Make A Splash At Tibbetts Brook Park
Proceeds from the ducky quack-tastic event will help feather the WPF's nest of community initiatives and programs.

YONKERS, NY — There's no need to flock to this year's races with a strategy in mind — it's more fun to just wing it.
The Westchester Parks Foundation (WPF) announced that it will be hosting the second annual Duck Derby where 1,000 rubber ducks will be released into the Lazy River Pool at Tibbetts Brook Park. Proceeds from the event will support the WPF's community initiatives and programs.
The Duck Derby will take place on Thursday, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at 355 Midland Avenue in Yonkers. The rain date will be August 7.

Organizers say duck prices start at $25 for a single duck, $50 for three ducks, and $100 for a flock of ten ducks. There will be three separate races, each with a special prize for the winner. The grand prize winner of the final race will receive $1,000 cash. Each duck will be marked with a number on the bottom, corresponding to a person's purchase. Winners do not have to be present to win.
All adults must purchase at least one duck to enter, and kids are free. All guests will receive a voucher for a standard meal combo at the concession stand, with additional food and drink available for purchase (alcohol for 21+).
