3 Arrested for Pot, Resisting Arrest

Three Dobbs Ferry twenty-somethings are accused of leading police on a short foot pursuit after they were allegedly caught smoking marijuana in a stairwell at Station Plaza in Dobbs Ferry.
Police said they received a call about suspicious activity at the train station and reportedly found the three smoking weed upon arrival. The two 21-year-olds and the 23-year-old attempted to flee when the officers arrived, according to police.

Two ran off while one of them was grabbed by a police officer. He eventually broke free, sending the officer on a foot pursuit and requiring the assistance of other officers, including the MTA’s K-9 unit and Hastings-on-Hudson Police.
Dobbs Ferry Police report that the three suspects allegedly became combative, swinging their arms and pushing police officers, when police attempted to bring them into custody.

They were all charged with criminal possession of marijuana and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors.
