YONKERS, NY — A wild police chase through a Westchester city came to a dazzling finale, and the whole thing was caught on bodycam.
The Yonkers Police Department says that when a vehicle fled from a Westchester County Police Department traffic stop on the Saw Mill Parkway a few weeks ago, the driver made the mistake of getting off on Yonkers Avenue, where Yonkers police officers were waiting at the exit ramp to join in the pursuit, with WCPD following right behind them.
The chase through city streets ended with a crash, Yonkers police said, followed by a foot chase through a park and on train tracks.
