Ardsley School Budget Includes 1.75 Percent Increase In Spending

The school district will hold an informational meeting on the budget on May 9.

RIVERTOWNS, NY—The proposed 2017-18 budget for the Ardsley Union Free School District includes an increase of 1.75 percent over current spending.

Total proposed spending for the school year is $67,505,261. The proposed increase in the tax
levy is 2.53 percent compared to the 2 percent tax cap mandated by the state.

The budget includes hiring additional staff but there is no increase in the Capital Reserve Fund, which enables the district to save for potential future capital improvement projects.

The school district will hold an informational hearing on the proposed budget on May 9. The vote on
the budget will be held on May 16.
