Blood Drive; Fall Programs
Browse the nuts and bolts of local happenings with our daily local dispatch.

Patch wants to make your life a little bit easier. Here are a few things to keep in mind today in the Rivertowns:
1. There's a New York Blood Center blood drive today at the Hastings Public Library from 12 to 6 p.m.
2. The Irvington Public Library is beginning registration for its fall programs today. Get a preview of the children's events that will be offered over the coming months here. Register for any of the events in person or by calling 591-7840. Walk-ins are welcome.
3. The Westchester County Historical Society will be sharing some of the county's "hidden treasures" at a special program at the Greenburgh Public Library (300 Tarrytown Rd. Elmsford) tonight at 7 p.m. Get the details here.
4. Wednesday will be mostly sunny, with temperatures in the high 80s. And keep an eye out after dusk for the full moon.
5. Here's an idea: turn your favorite sorbet into a summer 'ade of sorts. This Patch blogger has recipes.
