Boyfriend Accused of Leaving Bite Marks, Bruises

Irvington Police arrested a 44-year-old Irvington man for domestic abuse on April 12.

A S. Buckhout St. resident accused her live-in partner of assaulted her in their home, leaving her with head injuries, bite marks on her arm and bruises to her neck on April 12.

According to police, the 33-year-old woman reported the incident to police at 9 a.m. and said she was assaulted between midnight and 4 a.m., while the couple’s children from separate relationships, an 8-year-old girl and 11-year-old boy, were in the home.

Her 44-year-old boyfriend was subsequently arrested on misdemeanor charges of assault in the third degree, obstruction of breathing and endangering the welfare of a child.

He was released on $2,500 bail and is due back in court on April 22.
