Bronx Man Dies When Tree Falls On Car In Dobbs Ferry
No one else was in the vehicle, police said, and the investigation remains ongoing.
DOBBS FERRY, NY — A New York City man was killed Saturday when a tree fell on the car he was driving.
The Dobbs Ferry Police Department said officers responded around 7:20 p.m. Saturday to a motor vehicle accident on Walgrove Avenue in the village of Dobbs Ferry.
Police said it was reported that a tree had fallen on the vehicle, trapping the driver inside.

After they arrived at the scene, members of the police and fire departments determined the driver had died from his injuries.
The driver, who was pronounced dead by Greenburgh Paramedics, was identified by police as Danilo Gomez, 27, of Bronx. He was an employee of The Children’s Village.

The roadway was closed while police conducted an accident reconstruction investigation with the assistance of the Greenburgh Police Department.
