Bronx Man Killed Girlfriend, Dumped Body Along Saw Mill: DA
The victim was found inside of a red suitcase, abandoned along the Westchester County highway earlier this month.

YONKERS, NY — The ex-boyfriend of a woman who went missing earlier this month has been indicted in connection to her death.
Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced on Tuesday that a Bronx man has been indicted for second-degree murder and other charges for killing his girlfriend, putting her in a suitcase, and leaving her body on the side of the Saw Mill River Parkway in Yonkers.
"The defendant allegedly murdered his girlfriend and then lied to police, saying she left their home on her own," Clark said. "Her body was found days later in a suitcase along a parkway. His alleged actions are atrocious and terrifying, and we will seek justice for the victim."

He was arraigned on Tuesday before Bronx Supreme Court Justice Audrey Stone. Diaz was remanded back to jail and is due back in court on April 16.
According to investigators, on March 2, 27-year-old Pamela Alcantara was reported missing after she didn't appear at church. After being questioned about her whereabouts, Diaz allegedly told friends and family that Alcantara left their home, and he did not know where she was. He told police that Alcantara left their home wearing pajamas and with a suitcase.
Surveillance video from the Morris Ave. building showed Alcantara allegedly entering the apartment on March 1, around midnight and Diaz entering approximately two hours later. He allegedly later left the apartment with a red suitcase, which he carried to his car, according to police.
Alcantara's body was found on the side of the Saw Mill River Parkway on March 6, inside the red suitcase, with signs of homicidal asphyxiation.
The case is being prosecuted by Major Case Assistant District Attorney Allison Kline of the Domestic Violence Bureau, under the supervision of Agata DiGiovanni, Chief of the Domestic Violence Bureau, and under the overall supervision of Adrienne Giunta, Deputy Chief of Special Victims Division and Joseph Muroff, Chief of Special Victims Division.
