Participating in the candidate forum are incumbent Mayor Vincent Rossillo, running on the Democratic line, who is being challenged by Edmond Manley III, running on the Dobbs Ferry United line. Also running for mayor is Justin Kurian, on the Dobbs Ferry Rivertown Party line. As of Monday, Kurian and his slate of trustee candidates were unable to agree to the date of the forum.

The mayoral candidate forum is proceeding as two candidates competing for one seat and representing two different slates have agreed to the date. The league would welcome the third candidate’s participation.

Unfortunately, there will not be a candidate forum for the trustee vacancies, the league said, because it was unable to get agreement to a date by more than three candidates for three open seats. If another candidate agrees to participate, it could go forward. The league’s “empty chair” policy is designed to promote competition than just promotion, the league said.

The event will be recorded and made available on the Rivertowns League website and other media locations.
