Dobbs Ferry PD: Missing Electronics, Cash

Here's a look at some of the larcenies recently reported to the Dobbs Ferry Police Department:

Cash Gone from Vehicle

A 48-year-old Dobbs Ferry resident reported on the evening of June 22 that an envelope containing cash had been swiped from her parked vehicle.

The woman told police that she left at least $1,000 in U.S. currency inside an envelope in her unlocked 1998 Honda while it was parked on Elm Street for about two-and-a-half hours that afternoon.

Upon returning at approximately 4:45 p.m., she said the cash was missing.

Phones Taken from Restaurant

Dobbs Ferry Police are investigating the report of two stolen iPhones from a local restaurant.

Police received a report at 9:36 p.m. last Saturday from a 52-year-old village resident who said two phones were stolen from the front reception desk of a local restaurant sometime after 6 p.m.

The man told police he suspected a man who had gone into the restaurant, ordered food and then said he needed to retrieve his debit card may have taken the phones. The suspect, police said, did not return to the restaurant.

The two phones are collectively valued at $1,160.

Missing iPod

A Dobbs Ferry teen reported to police on June 20 that his iPod had gone missing from his New York Sports Clubs locker sometime during the afternoon of June 16.

The 16-year-old told police his locker wasn't locked at the time of the alleged theft.

The iPod and its case are collectively valued at $320.
