Dows Lane Elementary Students Learn About Fire Safety
The students were able to see up close what the firefighters wear and what equipment they use.

IRVINGTON, NY — Dows Lane Elementary School students welcomed members of the Irvington Fire Department to their school on Oct. 13 to discuss fire safety.
Principal Dr. Andrea Kantor said the students learned about what they should do in the event of a fire.
They also saw firefighters in full protective gear, she said.

“They also saw the lights and heard the sirens of the fire truck," Kantor said. "Our students and staff were very appreciative of the time and sharing from the fire department members.”
