Drunken Parent Reported at School Dance

While you may have heard of students showing up to school dances drunk, Hastings-on-Hudson Police received a call on Feb. 1 about a possibly intoxicated parent during a family dance night at Hillside Elementary School.

Police received a call from the school’s principal around 7:10 p.m. saying that several parents approached her to advise her that a parent may be drunk. There was concern that the parent might drive while allegedly intoxicated and accompanied by his children.

Officers were called to the scene to meet with the principal and discretely speak with the parent, a police report said.
