FedEx Driver Shoved To Ground, Package Stolen In Daylight Robbery
Police are asking for the public's help for information on the incident that took place in Dobbs Ferry on Monday afternoon.

DOBBS FERRY, NY — A FedEx driver was put in danger in Westchester County while simple trying to do his job, according to police.
The Village of Dobbs Ferry Police Department says that on Monday, around 2:40 p.m., while delivering a package on Hillside Road, a FedEx delivery driver was approached by a man who falsely claimed to be the recipient of the package.
After a brief confrontation, the man pushed the delivery driver to the ground and took the package from his hands.

The suspect was then picked up by an unidentified male driver in a black Honda Civic, which fled south on Broadway, towards Hastings-on-Hudson.
The man who assaulted the driver was described by authorities as Hispanic, while the driver of the getaway car was described as Black.

Police say that they believe this was an isolated and targeted incident, and that there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
The Dobbs Ferry Police Department asks that any residents in the area who may have home video surveillance that captured the crime to contact them at 914-693-5500. They also thanked the public for their cooperation in this case.
