Felony Garage Break-In in Dobbs Ferry

A Bellair Drive resident said both her cars were robbed between March 28 and 29.

A Dobbs Ferry woman reported that two of her family's cars were broken into between March 28 at 8:30 p.m. and 8 a.m. the next morning, including one in her garage.

The 43-year-old Bellair Drive resident told police that $20 in cash was taken from her 2002 Subaru that that was parked in the street on Buena Vista Drive, which is near her home. The thief then managed to get into her garage where her 2001 Chevy Volt was parked. The trunk and side door were left open and $40 was taken from the car.

Since entry was made into her home, police are investigating the incident as a class D felony burglary in the third degree.
