"This defendant's outrageous conduct put the lives of two passersby in jeopardy," Cacace said. "That he committed this act on a residential street, imperiling the safety of the entire neighborhood, is all the more alarming. Our partnerships with the Yonkers police and community organizations have resulted in marked decreases in gun violence in the city. We will not allow Mr. Goodine-Smith, or anyone else, to upend this progress."
In the early morning hours of Oct. 29, 2023, Goodine-Smith fired around four shots from a .32 caliber pistol at two people driving by on a moped, near 5 Lawrence St., in Yonkers. Neither person was hit.
