Hastings-on-Hudson Proposes $ 47,283,564 Budget

RIVERTOWNS, NY—Hastings-on-Hudson Union Free School District Roy Montesano will present a preliminary 2017-18 school budget at a budget meeting on March 14.

The proposed budget of $47,283,564 only adds $201,434 to the 2016-17 budget, and stays within the tax cap. Most of the budget will be spent on salaries, with additional teachers requested for all schools, including a language teacher, a physical education teacher and more hours for a school nurse.

Aspects of the budget will be discussed in several subsequent meetings. The approved budget will be available online on March 21. The budget will be approved April 18. A BOCES budget vote will take place April 25 and there will be a budget hearing on May 2.
