Hastings Police Investigate Death of Cat
A resident reported finding the animal 'in a suspicious manner,' according to police.
A cat found, deceased, inside of a cardboard box May 29 alarmed a resident who reportedly "regularly feeds the cats adjacent" near the Warburton Avenue bus turnaround.
Hastings Police found the cat was wrapped in a green and white sheet. The orange and white cat had pieces of jewelry stones placed in its nose, mouth and eyes, according to police.
Police filed photographs of the cat and are continuing the investigation.
