Hastings Promotes Peace Through Music on Sept. 11
The September Concert was held Tuesday at Fulton Park in Hastings-on-Hudson
Each year Hastings-on-Hudson’s Fulton Park is filled with the sweet sound of music that brings people together in celebration of peace and love for all in remembrance Sept. 11th.
The September Concert Foundation was started in 2002 as a local grassroots effort to inspire people to hold concerts and make music together each year on or near the anniversary of Sept. 1, and grew into a global effort to promote peace.
Hastings-on-Hudson held its September Concert—sponsored by Concerned Families of Westchester and Greenhead Media—on Tuesday, joining Astoria, New York City, Arizona, Mexico, Ghana, Poland and the Czech Republic who also held concerts to commemorate the eleventh anniversary of Sept. 11.
