Hastings $55.8 Million Budget Gets Shot Down
Two candidates for board trustees were running unopposed.
HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, NY ā Voters in Hastings-on-Hudson's school district went to the polls Tuesday to decide whether to approve a $55.8 million budget for the 2022-23 school year.
The spending package, which was 5.68 percent more than the current year, was rejected 661 to 644, according to unofficial results on the district's website.
The proposed tax levy change was 3.1 percent.

Two trustee positions were also on the ballot to be filled. There were two candidates running unopposed: Maureen Lennon-Santana ā 910 votes ā and incumbent Silvia Robles ā 935 votes.
