Hastings to Consider Legalizing Summer Leaf Blower Use

Should homeowners and contractors be permitted to use leaf blowers over the summer?

The Village of Hastings' board of trustees will discuss this possibility and is seeking residents input at its Tuesday, June 4 meeting.

"We’re considering amending the Leaf Blower Law to allow the use of a single hand-held blower per property during the summer months," Mayor Peter Swiderski wrote in a community update. "We’ve heard from contractors and  a couple of residents, but would like to hear from residents more broadly."
