Irvington Police Conduct Driving Arrests

Police used a license plate reader to identify vehicles with suspended registrations.

Here's a look at some recent arrests conducted by the Irvington Police Department:

Unlicensed Driver Arrest

On June 22, police reported stopping a 2000 Acura after a license plate reader was alerted the vehicle had a suspended registration.

Police also discovered the 26-year-old Yonkers driver was unlicensed.

The vehicle was impounded and the male driver was transported to headquarters for processing. He was released on $100 cash bail with a court summons.

He is charged with both driving a vehicle with a suspended registration and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree.

Suspended Registration Arrest

On June 28, police reported stopping a vehicle at 12:12 p.m. and arresting the driver for operating a 1997 Honda with a suspended registration.

The driver, a 47-year-old Yonkers woman, was also cited for an inspection violation.

After posting $95 bail, she was released with a court date.
