Irvington Teen Reports iPhone, Cash Stolen

The 14-year-old told police he was skateboarding for 10 minutes when his belongings went missing.

A 14-year-old Irvington resident told police his drawstring bag went missing as he was skateboarding at Irvington High School the night of July 8.

The teenager reported that between 8:15 and 8:25 p.m. that night, he left his bag on the ground while he was skateboarding. During that time, he said a grey Toyota passed through the area.

He said he and his friend followed the car to Dearman Close, where they confronted the driver and his passenger. He said the two men in the car denied having the bag.

After the vehicle left the scene, the teen reported finding his bag on the side of the road, but without his iPhone and $50 in cash.

Police were unable to track down the vehicle.
