League Of Women Voters Set Virtual Forums For CD16 & CD17

The public must preregister for the live forums and submit questions at the same time.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — The League of Women Voters of Westchester County will hold tow live virtual forms for candidates running in Congressional Districts 16 and 17.

The forums can be accessed on Zoom.

  • Oct. 11 at 7 p.m.: U.S. Congressional District 16
  • Oct. 12 at 7 p.m.: U.S. Congressional District 17

Incumbent Rep. Jamaal Bowman, appearing on the Democratic and Working Families party lines, is running against Miriam Levitt Flisser, a Republican, to represent Congressional District 16.

Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney is an incumbent, appearing on the Democratic and Working Families party lines. He is being opposed by Assemblyman Michael Lawler, running on the Republican and Conservative lines. They are vying to represent Congressional District 17.

League organizers said the public must preregister for any of the live forums here and also submit questions at the same.

Forum replays will be accessible on this website and other local League websites and social media. Local cable groups are invited to replay the entire forum according to the League Video Recording Police through election day Nov. 8. Early voting is Oct. 29 through Nov. 6.

The moderators for the candidate forums are League-trained moderators residing outside the assigned districts.
