Man Surrenders on Bridge Street Grand Larceny Charge

Michael Perry of Sparta, NJ surrendered to Irvington Police on Sept. 25 to charges of grand larceny in the third degree, a felony.

Perry is accused of stealing $40,500 from a business at 1 Bridge St. between Jan. 27, 2011 and Oct. 12, 2011 while he was employed there. Perry was employed in an administrative role and allegedly billed for work that wasn’t done. The missing funds were discovered through the business’ internal investigation, and were originally reported to Irvington Police in December 2011. 

After a lengthy investigation by the Irvington Police Department and Westchester County Economic Crimes Bureau, Perry was charged and later surrendered to police.

He was arraigned on Sept. 25 and release on $2,500 cash bail. He is due back in court on Nov. 19 at 9:30 a.m.
