Multiple Marijuana Arrests in Irvington

- A 25-year-old man was arrested on an E felony charge of tampering with physical evidence for allegedly tossing a joint into the river as police approached him on W. Main St. on Sept. 20. Police said the joint was retrieved and the 25-year-old and a 21-year-old female, both from Yonkers, were charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. The male was released on $250 bail and must return to court on Oct. 15.
- The Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force, which includes an Irvington police officer, picked up a 20-year-old female and a 29-year-old male for unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, at 11:40 p.m. on Sept. 14. The Elmsford residents were in a parked car on W. Main Street, and were also in posession of a metal grinder in addition to the bag of marijuana. They were given appearance tickets and released on their own recognizance.
- A 16-year-old and 17-year-old Ardsley boy were arrested on Sept. 17 around 1:30 p.m. for unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. The boys were seen coming from a gated off area on Cyrus Field Road and were subsequently found to have several small bags of the plant. They were given tickets to appear in court on Sept. 24 and release to their parents.
