New York Times Highlights Irvington's Green Space, Culture

The recent article says it costs the average homeowner just over $1 million to make home in the village.

"Irvington earns raves for its restaurants, recreation and culture," an October 1 New York Times real estate article by Elsa Brenner reads.

The article, which you can read in full here, praises the village's "boutiques and restaurants in buildings dating to the 1860s and '70s."

According to the article, living in the river town doesn't come cheap.

"The median sale price of a single-family home is $1.080 million," Brenner writes, citing statitics from the Hudson Gateway Multiple Listing Service.

The article also goes into detail about the school district's above average state test scores, its "sought-after Matthiessen Park neighborhood" and the village's rich history.
