Nook Reported Stolen from Stop & Shop Lot

A man told police the device was taken from his locked vehicle.

A Mount Vernon man parked in the Dobbs Ferry Stop & Shop parking lot May 28 said his electronic Barnes & Noble Nook was taken from his vehicle.

He told police the item had been taken sometime between 3:35 and 3:54 p.m. that afternoon, while his car was locked.

Upon returning to his vehicle, the man said he noticed the driver's side window of his 1997 Cadillac Eldorado appeared to have been lowered and the Nook was missing from the front seat.

The man said the Nook is worth $279.
