Beginner's Kripalu Yoga

The Dobbs Ferry Public Library is partnering with Turkish Cultural Center of Westchester for a one-shot Turkish cooking class on Saturday, Jan. 11 at 2 p.m. in the library. Local residents can learn to prepare Turkish appetizers and dessert for family and friends, including how to make Sigara Boregi (Spring Rolls) Kisir (Tabouli- Bulgur Wheat Salad) and Muhallebi, a traditional Turkish milk pudding for dessert. Curiously Red
Curious-on-Hudson in collaboration with the Westchester Children's Book Festival is proud to announce “Curiously Red,” an author-inspired children's reading series, on Sunday Jan. 12 at 1 p.m. at 145 Palisade Street in Dobbs Ferry.Each bi-monthly event offers children of all ages the opportunity to hear readings of their favorite books and meet the authors face-to-face, helping them discover a love of reading and creativity. The first author will be Jason Edwards, whose chapter books "Chronicles of the Monster Detective Agency" have earned the books the Mom's Choice Award for Family Friendly Media. A $10 admission for children receives a $5 credit to the bookstore. There is no charge for parents.
