POLICE: 3 Teens Drunk at Hastings Dance

Three Hastings-on-Hudson teens were allegedly intoxicated—with two of the becoming ill—after drinking alcohol and attending a dance Hastings-on-Hudson High School on Sept. 29, according to police reports.

Police were advised by a school staff member around 9:10 p.m. that a 13-year-old at the dance allegedly made statements about hurting himself and appeared intoxicated. The teen's father was called to the school to handle the situation. 

Almost 45 minutes later a 14-year-old was allegedly found to be drunk and throwing up in the school bathroom. His father was also called to the school and determined that no ambulance was needed.

The Hastings-on-Hudson Police Department had an officer stationed at the school dance and said no alcohol was found in the school. 

Later that night around 12:19 a.m. a Hastings-on-Hudson father requested an ambulance for his 16-year-old daughter who was allegedly highly intoxicated. She was transported to Dobbs Ferry Hospital from her home.

Hastings-on-Hudson High School Principal Lou Adipietro said that the school will continue working with the students, staff and community in an effort to educate our students on the issues surrounding teenage drinking.
