Police: Driver Charged with Operating without License

Police said a man who went to pick up the driver at the police station was arrested on a warrant.

A routine arrest and processing at the Irvington Police Department turned into an unexpected second arrest on June 3.

According to police, the department received a report of an alleged hit-and-run accident on Main Street.

Police stopped the driver, a 20-year-old White Plains woman, after she reportedly fled the scene and discovered she was operating a 2012 Chrysler 200 without a license.

While a complainant said the woman had struck a parked car on Main Street, police were unable to find any damage.

The woman was arrested and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the Second Degree. She was processed and released on $100 cash bail.

Police reported the woman's father went to headquarters to pick her up. Police discovered there was an active warrant out of Yonkers for the man and he was arrested at the scene. He was held in Irvington until he was picked up by Yonkers Police.

Irvington Police did not have any additional details regarding the man's arrest.
