Police: Teens Arrested for Stealing Candy

Two 14-year-old Children’s Village residents were arrested for stealing candy from Stop & Shop on Dec. 3 around 1:30 p.m.
After the two fled the store, an employee called police with a description of the pair. A police dispatcher observed the pair at a bus stop near Cedar Street on one of the police department’s surveillance cameras.
Police arrived to Cedar Street and apprehended the two, who are accused of allegedly taking two items worth $2.49 and another item for $3.49. The males were given juvenile appearance tickets and released to Children’s Village.
