Police: Woman Slams Door on Nursing Home Staff

The daughter of a new resident at a local nursing home was arrested for trespassing and harassment on Feb. 24.

A 48-year-old woman was arrested for trespassing and is accused of slamming a door on a staff member at a Hastings-on-Hudson assisted living facility for senior citizens on Feb. 24.

Police were initially called at 2:50 p.m. after the Yonkers woman was accused of getting into a physical dispute with family members and social workers on the third floor of the facility. The woman, who is the daughter of a new resident, was asked to leave and left.

However, police were called again at 3:35 p.m. when the woman reportedly returned. She is accused of slamming a door on a 54-year-old female staff member, according to police reports.

She was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing in the third degree, a misdemeanor, and harassment in the second degree, also a misdemeanor.  She is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 27.
