St. Christopher's, Inc. Hosts "Dancing with Our Heroes" Gala

St. Christopher's serves children in the Rivertowns and Tarrytown areas.

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (May 5, 2016) – Six notable individuals were recognized by St. Christopher’s, Inc. during the nonprofit organization’s Annual Gala on Tuesday, May 3 at Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle. Emmy Award-winning News12 Westchester Anchor Tara Rosenblum was the emcee.

The honorees were Deputy Westchester County Executive Kevin J. Plunkett; Greenburgh-North Castle School District Superintendent Dr. Edward Placke; and staff members Heather LaCasse, Jesse Pereira, Earnest Greene and Paul Selino.

Since 1881, St. Christopher’s has helped teenagers with emotional, behavioral and learning disabilities by providing residential and day programs that encompass comprehensive therapeutic, social and family services coordinated with special education schooling. The organization has three separate campuses in Dobbs Ferry, Valhalla and New Windsor.

In addition to the award reception, there was a special “Dancing with Our Stars” program featuring professional dancers who performed with students, staff and board members. The dancers included Kim Millman, Founder and CEO of Opus Private Client Group in White Plains and Dr. Aran Ron, President of Health Strategies Consultants in Manhattan. Professional dancers from Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Yonkers, Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Mamaroneck, and independent professional dancers Kelli Iannarino and Jason Pimentel brought their talents.
